July 11 - Weekly Favorites

Our 4th of July was busy! We had a little family get together with Bryson's parents, and then we headed to downtown for First Fridays. I worked a booth the whole evening, but our amazing grandparents took care of the kiddos! We ended the day watching the fireworks at Columbia State, and the kids loved it! On Saturday, Bryson and I went to the Nashville soccer game, and it was such a good game! We were on the edges of our seats the whole time.
Okay, my life hack of the week is Pulaski's Splash Park if you're local. It's a water park designed for kids, and it is so great. There are 3 water slides which are nothing crazy, but the boys loved it so much! Even Amos enjoyed all the slides which surprised me! I even took Nora down the smallest one, and she LOVED it. It's $5 per person and kids ages 5 and under are free! Definitely worth the little trip (about an hour from town)!
This is one of my favorite meals to make, and I love taking it to families who have just had babies because it's not super unhealthy, and it's so easy! We are making it for dinner tonight, and I promise your kids won't even know there's zucchini in it.

My children are living on these popsicles this summer, and I've been able to find them regularly on sale at Kroger! They love the rainbow and blue rainbow ones the best.
Nora needed another water bottle since she's starting preschool in the fall. I snagged this one yesterday, and so far I like it! I love that it's spill proof, and it was fairly easy to clean when I washed it before letting her drink from it.

One of the hardest things I have had with going gluten free is an ice cream with chunks. I finally found one that is GF and dairy free if you are needing a DF option! I found it at our Kroger, but I'm sure other places have it as well!

I have been in a small book rut, but I am listening to this one and so far it's relatable as it's about a family restaurant owner that wants to sell because he feels overworked. He's worried if he sells if his family's legacy will live on or if it will die along with the sell. He wants companionship, so he's thinking a new way of life might help him find someone. It's a short listen at only 8 hours, and I know a bookstagram person who loved it. So, I'll keep you posted!
