Local Love - aMuse'um Children's Museum
When we moved back home 3 years ago, a friend of mine asked me to be on the children's museum board. And quite honestly, I had barely heard of the museum, but I loved children and wanted to be able to pour into our community in that space since I was no longer teaching.
I knew that we had a children's museum in our town, but I didn't realize what an impact it made on our community and how affordable it was for families to have a safe place to go and play. We are so unique to have a museum like this! Nashville and Franklin don't even have a place like this, so this was a major win in my book.
The museum has a diverse set of exhibits for locals to explore including: a courthouse (like ours), a bank, a Baskin Robbins, a doctor's office, a Chick-Fil-A, and giant set of teeth to clean! It's perfect for ages 18 months to about ages 6-7. It's open every day but Sunday, and you can even have your birthday parties there!
The rates are reasonable to say the least, and we think you would be blessed by stopping there sometime you're in Columbia! Make a day out of it in fact because we know if you have little ones, you won't be disappointed!
They also have some really great after school programs and clubs, and during the summer, they have camps for your older children. It truly is amazing asset to our community for many reasons!
The museum is turning 10 this year, and that's a huge milestone especially for a start up non-profit! We have big dreams for this little museum that is growing daily! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me! I am super passionate about it!
Check them out on Instagram and Facebook, and here's the website for events and rates!
