Recipe: Corn Light Bread
Summer barbecue season is upon us, and my mama makes the perfect cornbread to take to your next gathering! If we have family gatherings, this is going to be the recipe she brings. It's really simple, but super delicious.
Ingredients:
- 1 and 1/2 cups cornmeal
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 and 1/2 cups buttermilk
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup melted butter
Directions:
Mix all ingredients and let it stand for 20 minutes. Pour into a greased loaf pan and bake on 350 degrees for 1 hour.
