Weekly Favorites - August 17

Bryson just finished this book, and here's what he had to say about it: “The Trees was a gripping dark comedy that started me off with a comedy that almost literally grabbed my throat with its intensity and darkly serious themes on race and lynching in the south. It’s not for the faint of heart but its definitely something that will help you check your heart too.”

Seriously this is the best sunscreen for the whole family! We got the large bottle at the beginning of summer, used it daily, and we still have about ⅓ left! And I am happy to report that none of our children have gotten sunburnt this year!

We made this for dinner the other night, and it was delicious! Owen even ate it and wanted seconds (which is saying something). We also found it to be a great quick meal for the week!

Nora moved up to her crib last week, and she is doing really well! This is our favorite sleep sack that we've used for all the kids. Our house is typically very hot or very cold, so it's been a great help with my anxiety about SIDS and our kids being too hot.

Who knew that there were kids' playlists? But there are! (You may have already known this!) Owen is a big fan of Thomas the Train, so we've listened to this one several times in the car now. I'm going to see if I can download episodes and put them on a MYO card for his Yoto player. There are several other ones that I found from this Instagram post about kids' podcasts.
