In the case of our clothing, we always ensure that accessories and mechanical parts such as fasteners are child-friendly and safe. We have our adherence to these guidelines regularly tested by independent, recognised institutions.
For us, however, products must be more than just safe and harmless. We want them to feel great and to create moments of joy every day. That's why of our products are still lovingly handmade. Our soft toys are made from particularly soft materials and strict Steiff standards of workmanship ensure consistent quality. For our precious collectibles, we also use high-quality natural fibres, such as hemp, bamboo, paper plush or mohair, which we process in our Steiff-Schulte weaving mill in Germany.
For us, quality also means being mindful of our planet's finite resources. In many of our products, we use cotton from controlled organic cultivation or recycled materials and ensure ecologically safe production. We implement these guidelines throughout the entire supply chain. Our repair service extends the lifetime of our products and thus additionally conserves resources.
