Take Me Out to the Ball Game Print
Batter up! With a color palette evocative of sepia-toned photos from the late nineteenth century, this baseball player is printed from three hand-carved blocks of wood and inspired by the players and teams that populated towns across the country in that era, including this city’s own Nashville blues. The carvings are combined with wood type that was likely made around the same time that the sport was being recognized as “America’s pastime,” in the late 1800s.
