My 5 favorite things this week - August 29
Happy Friday and long weekend to everyone who gets to have one! I hope you have had a great week, and that you've been able to have a little cooler weather! The weather has seriously been giving me life this week! I went to workout on Wednesday, and it was the first time we didn't sweat like pigs! Amazing!
We are headed on a trip to Pigeon Fortress (as Owen calls it and we won't be correcting him) this weekend, and we are so excited. The kids don't know much about our trip other than we are staying in a cabin with family, so I'm excited to get to surprise them with some fun activities! I'm sure there will be meltdowns and tantrums, but we haven't been on a trip in a while so it's long overdue! I also get to see my niece who is a freshman in the Pride of the Southland Band at UTK this fall! I cannot wait to squeeze her neck after their first game this weekend!
My MIL just got me these nail clippers after being fed an AD online, and let me tell you, they are worth the hype. It doesn't leave your nails rough; it's quiet; it collects the nail clippings; it's made in the USA!
I finished this book recently, and it is just so good. I am an Emma Grey fan from here on out. It's about Evie who wakes up from a car accident with amnesia and how she gets to rebuild her life after the tragic accident. I loved it so much I listened to it, and I read it on my Kindle, too!
We wanted to test this camera out before we started selling them in the shop, and let me tell you, we got it in the mail on Tuesday and fell in love with it as soon as we got it up and running. It's a digital camera without a screen, and it reminds us of a disposable camera. You have to connect it to your computer to download the photos, but the kids LOVED being able to take photos of whatever they want! I definitely think we will have them in the store before Christmas because it is so great for traveling with kids! (It’s on sale this weekend, so snag it for $10 off!)
I searched for weeks and weeks for a lamp to fit in our dining room nook, and I finally chose this one. It's absolutely perfect! It is the perfect touch of warmth to our space, and it looks timeless. I had to upgrade the light bulb to a brighter one, but other than that, no complaints! Bryson was able to install it easily as well!
As we get closer to the gift giving season, I need to tell you one thing I would add to my wishlist if we didn't own it…this vacuum cleaner. I use it regularly to clean the van, and it's a life changer. It works like a shop vac, but it can go in the back of the van like a dream and really gets up all the crap that my kids leave in there. It's really Bryson's for job sites, but I 100% claim it at least one day of the week to deep clean the van. If you want to add it to your list, I truly think you should!
